McDonald's has 20 burgers on its UK menu, ranging from the limited edition McRib to the longstanding McCrispy and, let's not forget, the Filet O Fish. But the one that remains the most iconic among every seasonal lineup is the Big Mac - a stacked feast of two 100 percent beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion and pickles, plus a generous helping of Big Mac sauce. The signature creation has been a mainstay of menus worldwide since 1968 and has only improved with age.

In the latest move to update its offering in the UK and Northern Ireland, McDonald's has supersized the Big Mac burger. Starting from £5.39, fast food fans can get their hands on the Double Big Mac once more - but not for long.

This fan-favourite burger features double the beef: four 100 percent British and Irish beef patties, double the special Big Mac sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun. It's made a triumphant return after leaving menus in September following a short stint on the summer menu from July. But Big Mac fans don't have long to get their hands on the doubled-up delight, as it's only available until November 19.

The iconic burger is already available in participating stores across the UK and is joined by the Double Big Mac with Bacon in selected restaurants. How much is the Double Big Mac? As for the price, the supersized burger is available for £5.39 or as part of a Double Big Mac Medium Meal for £7.
