Drug Enforcement Administration revealed to TMZ that Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez had their registrations to write prescriptions revoked after they were arrested for Matthew’s death.

divulged to TMZ that it was a part of the plea deal that Dr. Chavez took for him to voluntarily give up his registration. He has agreed to “plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine,” TMZ reported.

Dr. Chavez is scheduled to be arraigned on August 30 as he’s looking at a possible prison sentence of ten years in federal prison. However, Dr.

Plasencia was released on bond on Friday after he also allegedly supplied Matthew’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa with vials of ketamine and taught him how to “administer the drug,” per TMZ. According to the U.S.

Attorney’s Office, Dr. Plasencia had reached out to Dr. Chavez to get ketamine for Matthew since he used to run a ketamine clinic.

Dr. Plasencia has been charged with multiple charges, such as seven counts of distribution of ketamine, which could get him 120 years in federal prison if he is convicted. A text exchange between Dr.

Plasencia and Dr. Chavez was included in the federal indictment. Authorities cited, "I wonder how much this moron will pay" and "Lets find out" referring to Matthew.
