The first goal, one could say, only happened because of the mistakes Bayern’s defense made, but it was a good finish nevertheless. The second goal on the other hand was beautifully executed by the Tottenham players, and finished even better by Kulusevski. The Spurs man took complete advantage of the lapse in Bayern’s defense, and scored with calm and composure.
Top notch attacker today, most deserving of this award. Der Kaiser: Eric Dier Although the former Spurs defender played only 45 minutes of the game, he showed his best efforts for every second he was on the pitch. While Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, and Raphaël Guerreiro also put in a good performance, it was clear that Dier was completely focused on covering the TWO positions he was put in.
At both left back AND center back, Eric Dier showed his prowess at covering both positions at the same time. His talent, despite lacking in areas like his pace, could definitely mess with Upamecano’s or Kim’s positions on the depth chart. Fußballgott: Joshua Kimmich This man is ready for the next season.
Despite some questionable performances and keeping silent a few games ago (at least in comparison), Kimmich now looks like he’s 100% ready to compete for every trophy available.
