Mary Bonnet just released her highly-anticipated new memoir, . And in it, the realtor-slash-reality star accounts how producers told her to wait to find out whether she was pregnant after having what she called a “strong hunch.” According to Mary, following a 2022 trip to Bali with her husband Romain Bonnet for their belated honeymoon, she wanted to take a pregnancy exam after realizing her period was late.

It was then that she shared her suspicions with the Netflix series’ production team. “Naturally, they wanted to capture the entire thing on camera, so they asked me to wait to take the pregnancy test until they could be there,” the realtor recalls in her book. “Well, then you need to come over now, because I’m going to do it,” she then reportedly responded.

However, per Mary’s account, she was told that they were in the middle of filming other scenes and would have to wait. “I was like, ‘Are you kidding?’” she pens before adding, “You’re going to delay us finding out whether or not we’re having a baby?! Can’t we just re-create the scene?” Ultimately, Mary wound up having to take the test the following morning, and it wasn’t until the crew captured the entire ordeal that she learned she was actually pregnant IRL. “In addition to my absolute astonishment, I suddenly became aware that I had cameras on me, recording my reaction, which made me hyper-focused on what I was saying and doing,” she muses in her memoir.

Sadly, nine weeks late.
