Wednesday, August 28, 2024 Great Place To Work® and PEOPLE magazine have honored Marriott International as one of the 2024 PEOPLE® Companies that Care. This achievement marks Marriott International’s fifth year in a row making the list, with its highest ranking yet at number four. Marriott’s recognition reflects the company’s dedication to its sustainability and social impact initiative, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.

” In its recognition of Marriott International, PEOPLE magazine emphasized the company’s commitment to hiring refugees worldwide. In 2022, Marriott pledged to employ 1,500 refugees in the U.S.
by 2025, and in 2023, the company extended this commitment by vowing to hire over 1,500 refugees across its European operations by 2026. Since these announcements, Marriott has successfully employed more than 1,000 refugees in the U.S.
and 600 in Europe. Among those hired are cousins Ehsanullah Safi and Shah Faisal Safi, whose story was featured in PEOPLE, illustrating Marriott’s dedication to empowering individuals through meanin.
