Newcastle mechanic Kieran Chapman had a wedding day to remember on Married at First Sight UK, with the Geordie groom wearing a pair of joke teeth for his big day and being joined at the altar by his beloved dog Hugo. It was officially announced in the summer that 28-year-old Kieran would be heading down the aisle for the new series of the hit E4 show, following in the footsteps of other North East singletons Nikita Jasmine, who brought serious fireworks in 2021 and County Durham's Sean Malkin who was a late arrival during last year's run. The premise of the popular programme is that singles put their faith in the MAFS matchmakers to find them a suitable bride or groom, who they then meet for the first time on their wedding day, before going on a luxury honeymoon and then returning to the UK to try and make their relationship work and ultimately decide if they want to stay together.

On Monday night, Married at First Sight fans saw Kieran , who is also a keen circus performer, tie the knot with Kristina Goodsell, with her getting a shock when he flashed his ugly fake teeth as they met. And the surprise didn't end there, as Kieran's dog Hugo also made an appearance at the altar as the ring bearer, with Kieran taking to Instagram as he watched the episode, to declare that his much loved Rottweiler was ;'the real star of the show.' Prior to walking down the aisle, Kieran opened up about how he'd been left wondering if he'd ever be able to 'trust anyone again' after his girlfriend .
