An investigation into manslaughter has been launched following the tragic deaths of seven individuals, including a British tech tycoon and his daughter, in a luxury yacht sinking off the Sicilian coast, according to an Italian prosecutor. Mike Lynch, a renowned British tech mogul, and his 18 year old daughter Hannah were among the six people recovered after the Bayesian superyacht sank near Porticello around 5am local time on Monday. The body of Recaldo Thomas, a Canadian-Antiguan national who was employed as a chef on the superyacht, was also found at the scene on Monday.

He further stated that they are conducting an investigation against unknown persons. When questioned about whether the crew will stay in Sicily, Mr Cartosio responded: "There's no obligation but they should be available for the investigation.
