The first ever sauna and ice bath café in Manchester will be opening its doors to punters next month. Kontrast will see the blend of high-tech saunas, ice baths, yoga with snacks, juices, teas and coffee all in one place. The concept is inspired by the success of similar stores in Finland, Denmark, Taiwan and Japan.

The hubs are designed to bring people together through contrast therapy. The treatment is a a wellness technique that involves alternating between hot and cold treatments to stimulate circulation, spike energy levels, reduce inflammation, deepen sleep, and boost overall mental and physical health. In its first month, Kontrast will partner with the mental health charity MIND, contributing 50% of all booking donations to support mental health initiatives, underscoring its commitment to the community.
