A road outside a train station has been closed after a man was smashed over the head with a glass bottle. A 31-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a head injury after he is believed to have been attacked outside Hastings railway station this morning. A teenager has been arrested and police are looking for more witnesses.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We have closed Station Road in Hastings this morning as part of an investigation into an assault. “Emergency services were called at around 5.30am, and a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with a head injury believed to have been caused by a bottle.

” An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of breaching a restraining order, and remains in custody at this time. A police cordon could be seen outside the train station this morning with forensic officers continuing investigations..
