A man has been charged with more than 20 offences after an alleged graffiti rampage on luxury cars across Sydney. Police say they received 87 reports of vehicles damaged with spray paint between August 19 and 28 on public streets in Kings Cross, Surry Hills, the eastern suburbs and Leichhardt. A string of German-made luxury cars were allegedly targeted.

Photographs of the vehicles, including models from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Porsche, show the badges have been painted bright blue or red. Officers investigating the “numerous graffiti incidents” under Strike Force Opelika raided a unit on Pyrmont Bridge Road in Camperdown on Friday afternoon and arrested a 49-year-old man. The man was taken to Newtown police station and charged with 23 counts of destroying or damaging property.
