But that's exactly what happened to people in Mallorca this week, as torrential rain poured down and dampened spirits. Several TikTok videos captured the sudden shift in weather on Monday (September 23), showing flooded streets and cars navigating through inches of muddy water.

One holidaymaker captioned their video "going to Mallorca in September to get some good weather", but instead the footage showed grey skies with people donning raincoats and umbrellas. Additional footage from Magaluf, Mallorca's notorious party town, depicted cars stranded in deep floodwater, with one vehicle's hazard lights intermittently flashing. Similar scenes were shared from Palma Nova, located just up the coast from Magaluf.

Concerned holidaymakers with upcoming trips to Mallorca quickly took to the comment sections of these videos. One person wrote: "Just my luck. I fly out Friday.

I hope everyone is okay." Another added: "I fly in 1 hour. I hope the weather is good.

" Fortunately for those.
