Days after a Facebook post penned by former Mollywood actress Minu Muneer accusing Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Abu, and Jayasurya of sexual and verbal abuse went viral, another actress has come out with her own horror story. Actress Anjali Ameer accused actor-comedian Suraj Venjaramoodu of making inappropriate advances and making her feel uncomfortable.

Anjali, who is trans, worked along with Venjaramoodu in the 2018 Tamil movie ‘Peranbu’, which also had superstar Mammootty in the lead. In an interview with Mathrubhumi , Ameer claimed that the comedian had made her uncomfortable on the sets and grilled her about ‘pleasure’ during the filming of the movie. She revealed that she had told the actor off and reported the incident to Mammootty.

“I had not faced any traumatic experiences until Suraj Venjaramoodu asked me if transgender people feel the same pleasure as women. I am a strong person, but this question made me angry. I warned him and reported it to Mammootty and the director.

Venjaramoodu then apologised and has never spoken to me in that manner again, which I appreciate,” she admitted.
