DAITHI O Se and Sinead Kennedy are missing on air today due to a major RTE schedule shake-up. The popular chat show, Today, returned on air last Monday , September 23, for a brand new season after the summer break. Sinead was missing from the programme for 10 months as she had gone on maternity leave last November, before welcoming her second child , Theo, into the world.

The Cork beauty splits the work week with Maura Derrane . The mum-of-two co-hosted Today alongside Daithi on Monday and Tuesday last week. Maura then took over hosting duties on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The show, which usually airs from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, has been taken off the schedule today due to the Budget 2025.

Government Ministers will be announcing the Budget 2025 package at 1pm in Dáil Éireann this afternoon. Live coverage with studio analysis and reaction will be shown on RTE One from 12.40pm to 4.

15pm. Today will return to its usual schedule from tomorrow. Sinead, already mum to three-year-old daughter Indie with husband Conor Kirwan, spent some time in Belgium where Conor is stationed with the European Defence Agency during her break.
