One of Bolton’s biggest development projects in recent years is “coming to life” with the first of its new homes set to be delivered. The Farnworth Green project aims to build nearly 100 new homes, a mixture of townhouses and flats for rent, at the old precinct. Developers Capital&Centric have now released new images showing how the site, which will include a public square and pavilion for outdoor and live events, is shaping up.

Capital&Centric joint managing director Tom Wilmot said: “You can really see the Farnworth Green community coming to life. “It’s a big moment for us as it’s the first of our Neighbourhood style homes to be delivered. He added: “Alongside the homes, we’ve focused on creating spaces to bring the community together. “Bars, cafes and shops will bring a buzz throughout the day and into the evening and the new public square and lush gardens will provide places to relax and hang out.” The scheme has been in the works for several years now, and will include 85 one and two bedroom flats as well as 12 family homes, with a mixture of two and three bedrooms.

Visiting the site in March this year Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said that the completed scheme would be just months away. The developers say the architecture at Farnworth Green .
