Mahindra plans to introduce the five ‘Born Electric’ range of SUVs in India. The deadline has been set for 2026. It has been quite a while since the company has been working on the project.

Now, it has been revealed that out of all, BE.05 is expected to break the cover first somewhere in November 2024. If rumours are to be believed, the deliveries for the models are likely to kickstart by early 2025.

It is not known yet whether the company will reveal the price details at the unveiling event. Platform and Powertrain Mahindra’s upcoming offering will be based on the INGLO platform, which uses the component from Volkswagen’s MEB architecture. The model is likely to be offered in three powertrain options, featuring both RWD and one AWD option.

The former is said to be capable of doing a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 7.6 seconds, while the latter is expected to be quite quicker, as it might do the same in 5 seconds. Battery and Range When it comes to the battery setup, customers can expect 79 kWh and 82 kWh, with a maximum range somewhere around 586 km on a single charge.

Once arrives officially, it will give tough competition to some luxury offerings in the country. The list includes Mercedes EQS, Tesla Model Y, and Volvo C40. This somehow hints that the car might offer an impressive performance and a comfortable driving experience.

It also has been reported that Mahindra is also working on making LFP. It will be used in the future electric models..
