Pune: The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority ( MahaRERA ) is all set to roll out a new web portal on Sept 1 in its bid to improve user experience for both homebuyers as well as developers . The transition will, however, lead to temporary disruption in services, an official told TOI on Wednesday. According to MahaRERA, the existing website will be inaccessible to promoters and agents from Aug 14 to Aug 31.

Homebuyers will need to file complaints manually during this period as MahaRERA migrates to the new system. Online hearings of complaints will, however, continue uninterrupted, the official added. The official said that MahaRERA’s MahaCRITI website will be operational from September 1 with time-relevant features, improved user-friendliness, and much more to meet the current and future requirements.

The Maha-Complaint and Regulatory Integrated Technology Implementation or MahaCRITI has been revamped with useful features such as enhanced user experience, data analytics, and personalised dashboards, among other features. Chairman of MahaRERA Ajoy Mehta said that since the interactions on MahaRERA’s website are increasing day by day, there is a requirement to enhance the portal’s functionalities. “A few months ago, around 5,000 people visited MahaRERA’s website daily, translating into just over 200 site visits every hour.
