Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while laying the foundation stone and dedicating these projects to the nation, emphasized Maharashtra’s potential in medical and conference tourism. PM Modi outlined his vision to harness this potential to make Maharashtra a global economic powerhouse and transform Mumbai into the world’s FinTech capital.

“My goal is to elevate Maharashtra to Bharat’s top state in tourism,” he stated. He highlighted the state’s potential in medical and conference tourism, expressing his ambition for Maharashtra’s development. “Maharashtra is set to write a new chapter of development in India, and we are its co-travelers,” he said.

Focusing on connectivity, the Prime Minister noted that the length of national highways in Maharashtra has tripled in the last decade. He cited the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Project as an example of harmonizing nature and progress. The Thane Borivali Twin Tunnel Project, he mentioned, will reduce travel time between Thane and Borivali to just a few minutes.
