Thursday, January 23, 2025 SAS has partnered with Air Europa to boost flight options between Scandinavia and the Iberian Peninsula through a new codeshare agreement. This collaboration will enhance SAS customers’ access to 12 principal locations across Spain and Portugal, and offer Air Europa passengers improved connections throughout Scandinavia. Under this partnership, SAS will code-share on Air Europa’s flights from Madrid-Barajas to major Spanish cities including Alicante, Barcelona, Vigo, Málaga, A Coruña, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife Norte, along with Lisbon and Oporto in Portugal.
Conversely, Air Europa’s customers will enjoy more Scandinavian travel opportunities, notably through SAS’s upcoming direct route starting April 11, 2025, from Madrid to Copenhagen. This route will connect to other Scandinavian cities such as Aarhus, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo, Trondheim, Stavanger, and Bergen. “ We are pleased to announce our new codeshare partnership with Air Europa, granting our customers more travel options to the Iberian Peninsula.
With SAS’ daily flights from Copenhagen to Madrid, we are improving connectivity between Scandinavia and key destinations across Spain and beyond. This collaboration enables both SAS and Air Europa to offer seamless connections and an exceptional travel experience, all backed by the strength of SkyTeam,” says Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS . This summer, the partnership will also open.
