Madonna's fans have lashed out after she branded her followers "fat" and "unattractive social outcasts". The 66-year-old musician is no stranger when it comes to saying what's really on her mind and she is known for never holding back. Previously, Madge has spoken about being ex-communicated by The Vatican after she was accused of blasphemy and profanity over performances which saw her "crucify herself" on stage.

But a 1991 interview has resurfaced on social media leaving fans completely speechless by Madge's comments, which some deemed to be "fatphobic". During an interview, Madonna expressed how happy she was being in Los Angeles as she could spend a lot of her time in private when eating out with friends or at a bar. However, she went on to say that while she appreciates people approaching her when she's out to tell her she's "great", she hates it when "obsessive fanatics" approach her.

Speaking to The Washington Post, she said: "It's the obsessive fanatics whose attention seems very hostile, it's beyond admiration, it's very creepy." Madonna went on to say: "It's always fat people too. They are the most unattractive social outcasts, like really overweight girls or guys with lots of acne that follow me around and pester me.

It's frightening because not only are they bothering me, but they're horrible to look at too." The resurfaced interview which has been viewed on X, formerly known as Twitter over 500,000 times. Madonna is yet to comment on the comments.

Her fans, howeve.
