Madonna has released an emotional statement following the news of her younger brother's death . Christopher Ciccone has died at the age of 63, with his cause of death being confirmed as cancer. Now the iconic songstress, 66, has released an emotional post on Instagram to share her sorrow.

Madonna , who shared a reel of images of the pair, started: "My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long. Its hard to explain our bond.
