"Bring your colours, bring some noise and join Lurgan's first ever Pride Parade on Carnegie Street this Saturday,” said a spokesperson for the event organisers. The first event of the day will be a discussion and book-reading from 11am to 12 noon in the Building Bridges Community Arts Theatre with Shirley-Anne McMillan. At 11.30am there will be storytime and rainbow crafts in Lurgan Library, followed by the Pride event’s opening ceremony and Carnegie Street parade at 12.30pm.
The afternoon will see a variety of activities, including a crafter’s fair in Building Bridges Community Arts Theatre (1-3pm) and Pride information at a ‘stall village’ in Lurgan Library (1-3pm).
