A pair of white Vans has always been as synonymous with laidback style as jeans and a T-shirt , but there’s a new contender to the casual sneaker throne. Meet lululemon’s new Cityverse Sneaker , a new men’s shoe that combines the comfort of lululemon’s sweatpants and athleisure wear with the versatility of a go-to pair of kicks.

Made from an eco-friendly vegan leather along with a foam-like material, the Cityverse Men’s Sneaker offers the same clean silhouette as a pair of Vans, in a fresh and lightweight package. $138 As with all lululemon pieces, comfort is the name of the game here, with layers of cushioning to better support your feet and reduce fatigue. Lululemon says the shoes feature “3D-moulded support,” and that they are, “tailored to the unique morphology of the male foot for a better fit and feel.

” Those are big words to be sure, but we can attest that in our experience, the shoes feel like they’re not just surrounding our feet, but cradling our feet too. The padded material is soft and gentle while still providing enough structure that we’re not flopping around in our kicks. A grippy rubber sole, meantime, provides excellent traction.

Though the Cityverse Sneakers are incredibly lightweight, we always felt firmly planted on the ground. In terms of styling, we’re partial to the white on white colorway.
