It took less than two minutes for Inter Miami CF to kick off the 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs in jaw-dropping fashion. Lionel Messi was not required. Instead, it was Inter Miami's other MLS Most Valuable Player finalist, Luis Suarez, who opened the scoring.

All fans could talk about was the 37-year-old's unexpected goal celebration. Less than 90 seconds into the Miami's first playoff match in club history against Atlanta United, midfielder Diego Gomez won the ball high up the pitch, setting up the opportunity for a quick-fire opening goal. He dropped the ball to Jordi Alba, got the return pass and laid the ball off for Suarez to do the rest.

Sam Navarro-Imagn Images El Pistolero toe-poked the ball past Atlanta goalkeeper Brad Guzan to give Inter Miami a 1-0 lead. It added to his 20-goal, 9-assist campaign that helped the Herons win the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield with a single-season record of 74 points. As the Chase Stadium crowd erupted, the Uruguayan forward celebrated with his teammates in standard fashion.

As he ran back for the following kickoff, he pointed at someone in the crowd and busted a move that quickly went viral. Thank you Luis Suarez for providing us with arguably the WORST griddy (attempt?) of all time. https://t.
