IN a significant move to enhance economic development and youth empowerment across Lagos State, the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further strengthen their collaboration in promoting youth employment and entrepreneurship in Lagos State. The signing ceremony was held at the LSETF office in Lagos and was attended by USADF President/CEO Travis Adkins; Executive Secretary (Ag.), LSETF, FeyisayoAlayande; Lagos State Commissioner of Wealth Creation and Employment Hon.

This MOU builds on the success of the ongoing USADF-LSETF Employability Programme, which has already trained over 10,500 young people in various sectors since its inception in 2019, with 63 percent of this total number being women. The program’s comprehensive approach, combining training, financial assistance, paid internship and mentorship, has empowered young people to acquire skills, start businesses, and secure jobs, thus contributing significantly to the economic growth of Lagos State.
