Lovi Poe. Image: X/@RegalFilms Lovi Poe has always enjoyed writing her own stories and film concepts. But when she starred and wrote the script for the 2023 film “Seasons,” it dawned on her that she has the potential to make it as a producer.
Poe is the lead star of the upcoming sexy film “Guilty Pleasure,” which she and her husband, Hollywood film producer Monty Blencowe co-produced via her own C’est Lovi Productions together with Regal Entertainment. It tells the story of a headstrong lawyer named Alexis (Poe) who’s torn between an intern named Matthew (Jameson Blake) and the more experienced Adam (JM de Guzman). “I remember that it started with the film ‘Seasons.
’ I enjoyed being part of the process, and it felt [like we’re doing a] script with the script. And everything just came together. [I thought] that I can keep doing this,” Poe recalled during the film’s press conference.
The actress also shared that she’s interested in scriptwriting as well, noting that she’s surrounded by supportive mentors and her husband who are always willing to guide her through the process. “There are just so many stories that I wanna tell and showcase. I want to get into scriptwriting.
