Faye Winter has opened up about Love Island , including having revealed why she finds it difficult to watch at times, following her own experience on the show three years ago. The former islander, now 29, appeared on the ITV2 show in 2021 and she ended up reaching the final that year. Faye, who says she's in a "very content place" in her life, has suggested it didn't show what she's "really" like as a person.

The Mirror caught up with Faye recently to talk about the show and hear about her holiday to Kandima Maldives . She explained during the interview last week that she "struggles" with one particular aspect of Love Island as a viewer now. The latest series, which concluded last month, featured the likes of Joey Essex and Jess White , both of whom were met with a backlash during their respective stints in the villa in Majorca .

They join a host of past islanders, like Faye, who have proved controversial among Love Island viewers. Faye was criticised when she appeared on the TV show and attracted complaints to Ofcom over her 'temper' towards her then-partner Teddy Soares , with her later apologising. Faye, who has described herself as "very controversial," told us in our interview: "What you saw in the villa was one side of my personality, I've worked on myself a lot since then.

" And asked if she watches Love Island, Faye shared: "I never really watched it before, to be honest." She continued by telling us: "If I'm at home and I've got nothing to do, I'll switch it on but I'.
