Love Island 's Joey Essex had an awkward one-word response as his rap left the villa speechless on Tuesday night. During the latest instalment, the hit ITV2 dating series aired its iconic talent show challenge, where the Islanders have to show off their impressive skills. Taking to the stage, TOWIE star Joey, 33, decided to perform a self produced rap about his fellow Islanders.
At the end of his rap, Joey decided to poke fun at his recent 'secret mission' drama as he shouted to the crowd: "When I say secret, you say mission...
" However, when Joey shouted 'secret' all of his fellow Islanders remained silent as they failed to join in and shout back 'mission'. Responding with an awkward one-word reply, Joey said: "Anyone?" as he was again met with silence, leaving the reality star laughing. He added: "Well, that didn't go down well, did it? Erm.
.." with Matilda Draper joking: "It went down like a lead balloon!" Viewers were also left cringing with several show watchers admitting they had to 'mute' their televisions.
One person said: "I watched that entire Joey performance on mute #loveIsland", a different account wrote: "i had to mute the tv because joeys rapping is horrendous.. #Loveisland", another put: "I had to mute it, I genuinely can’t.
#loveisland" while a different viewer added: "Had to mute Joey’s rap. I’m cringing #loveisland." However, despite Joey's rap not going to plan, his partner Jessy Potts ended up winning the talent show with her impressive stilt skills.
