During Sunday night's episode, 253 viewers issued a complaint to the broadcasting regulator about Joey and Sean Stone's treatment towards their fellow islanders during the Grafties Awards.

Ofcom confirmed that the complaints were related to the duo's behaviour towards some of their contestants. Tons of other fans also slammed the pair on X for continuously 'pot-stirring' and meddling in their rival's relationships. Throughout his journey on the ITV dating show, Joey has caused a divide over his behaviour in his friendships and relationships, with some branding him a 'master manipulator' .
