Lorde makes a rare appearance in New York City with producer Jim-E Stack on Monday (September 16). The 27-year-old “Royals” star was spotted out and about in SoHo casually dressed in a stripped button-up shirt and a long lace skirt. Her outing comes amid questions about the status of new music and fans wondering if Lorde is working with Jim-E on an album.

It’s been three years now since Lorde dropped her last album Solar Power in 2021. Since then, we haven’t gotten much new music. Earlier this year, she did unleash a cover of the Talking Heads ‘ “Take Me to the River,” which she produced alongside Jim-E .
More recently, the producer shared a photo of Lorde on Instagram . In it, she appears to be sitting in the studio and has a laptop on her lap. In late 2023, Lorde teased fans by telling them that she was working on new music .
