26, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home with Dan Wynn officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m.
Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laird died on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Merit Health Natchez.
She was born on April 26, 1935, the daughter of Cleam and Myrtis Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. W.
Laird, Jr.; infant daughter, Phylliss Ranae Laird; son-in-law, Keith Jackson; parents, and siblings Elzy Lambert, Howard Lambert, James Lambert, Irene Kester, Johnnie Bullock, Mary E. Preston, and Inez Sims.
She served on the board at Jefferson Davis Hospital. She was the owner and operator of Lairds Beauty College in Natchez. After selling the beauty school, she worked as a cosmetologist alongside her husband and three children at Laird’s Barber and Beauty Center.
After retirement, she lived her life devoted to her family. She was the best caregiver to her husband. She was the best mother and Maw Maw.
Her love and dedication to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were unmatched. She was an amazing cook, the QVC Queen, Lover of all gadgets, clothes, purses, shoes, jewelry, and flowers. She attended Morgantown Baptist Church where she developed lovi.
