Coleen Nolan has opened up about her admiration for Ruth Langsford 's dignified handling of her split from Eamonn Holmes. The Loose Women panelist praised her friend and colleague for the "elegant" way she's managed the situation after their separation was announced back in May, following 14 years of marriage and 27 years together. Ruth, 64, has maintained silent on the details of their public break-up, choosing instead to shift all her focus to her career.

Coleen confessed that if she were in Ruth's shoes, she would have "spilled her guts" by now, reports the Daily Star . Reflecting on Ruth's approach four months after the news broke, Coleen said: "Ruth and I keep in touch all the time. She's back at work now, which is great because I really missed her.

" She continued: "I don't want to say too much because it's not my place to discuss Ruth's life, but from a friend's perspective, I've never met anyone who has handled something with so much dignity and pride. "She's just such a lady, more of a lady then I'll ever be, I would've spilled my guts right now - as I do, that's my problem, I say too much. She's been absolutely amazing, she really has.

" Coleen also shared that she had offered Ruth advice, but admitted that Ruth didn't heed her suggestions. "I've given her advice but she doesn't listen to me, I'm going, 'How can you not say anything?', but I don't need to give her advice," she told Woman Magazine.
