The anime film Look Back , based on Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot manga of the same name, will get a theatrical release in India. Warner Bros. India made the announcement on its social media pages, writing, “Attention, Anime Fans! The highly anticipated blockbuster anime film ‘Look Back’, is coming to cinemas in India! Stay tuned for more! India (@warnerbrosindia) At the time of writing, the release date for the film has not been announced. Southeast Asian film distributor Encore Films will be distributing Look Back in India. The company made its foray into the Indian market with The Boy and the Heron , which was also released in the country by Warner Bros.

India. Look Back is about student Ayumu Fujino who is in the fourth grade, and her classmate, Kyomoto. The latter is a shut-in who doesn’t attend class, and the two become rivals drawing manga.

The anime film adaptation is directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama at Studio Durian. Oshiyama is known for his work on Neon Genesis Evangelion rebuild film Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, Arrietty, and The Wind Rises.

Look Back released in Japan on June 28, 2024, and is set to release in the U.S. on October 4 by GKids .
