ITV’s sensational documentary series Long Lost Family once again took viewers on an emotional roller coaster during Monday evening's episode, when Essex based Keith Tyndall came face to face with his sister Tracey Boyle for the first time, after she anxiously set out to find her long lost brother. Tracey, from Port Talbot in South Wales, initially didn’t know she had an older brother until she was in her late 30s, when her mother Diane made the revelation after suffering from a breakdown and receiving inpatient mental health care. Having carried the pain for much of her life, Diane painfully admitted that she had been just 16 years old when she fell pregnant, and was forced to give up her baby boy when he was just one week old if she wanted to remain at home.

Tragically, Diane passed away in 2015 after battling with leukaemia, having never been reunited with the baby boy she was forced to give away, but Tracey sought to find her brother and to let him know how much he was loved by their mother, in a true tribute to Diane’s memory.
