Grosvenor and EIH London Investments Ltd have announced exciting plans for South Molton in London’s prestigious Mayfair, marking the debut of the Oberoi Hotel, the first UK location for the esteemed Indian luxury hospitality group. Positioned at a prominent corner of 40-46 Brook Street, the upcoming hotel aims to redefine luxury in Mayfair as a premier boutique destination, showcasing Oberoi’s signature elegance, exceptional service, and meticulous design.
In 2022, Grosvenor obtained planning permission to renovate the historic 33,000-square-foot building as a key element of the extensive South Molton development.This landmark project, the West End’s largest mixed-use endeavor, will feature the hotel, modern office spaces, residences, cafes, shops, restaurants, as well as community and leisure areas within a revitalized public setting. A central aspect of the project is a 267,000-square-foot joint venture between Grosvenor and Mitsui Fudosan UK, introducing two high-grade office buildings on Brook Street and Davies Street, aimed at providing top-tier corporate headquarters in the West End’s highly desirable locale.
South Molton will become a new entry point to Mayfair, generating an estimated GBP 6.5 million in annual spending, alongside creating 1,000 permanent jobs and 450 roles and app.
