From the bright dazzling lights of Las Vegas to the charming swampland that Shrek calls home, through to cute English villages, there's something exciting about visiting the places brought to life by our favourite TV shows and characters. Dive into some of the locations where the likes of Barbie, Harry Potter, Dune Stranger Things , Yellowstone and Ozark are set and filmed. How many have you been to? New Orleans may be a famous destination thanks to its annual Mardi Gras festivities, but did you know that it also serves as a backdrop to some of your favourite movies? The Princess and the Frog is entirely set in New Orleans, and Disney animators drew from real places for almost every aspect of the beloved film.

Disney animation chief and the movie's executive director John Lasseter is a huge fan of New Orleans and came up with the idea of setting the film there. During production, he was adamant that the film be as close to the real city as possible. "I believe in research and trying to get the details right, from the accents to the architecture to everything," he said .

The team spent time in the city, riding trams, participating in a Mardi Gras float, and consulting with locals on New Orleans culture.  The real-life cafes Morning Call and Cafe du Monde inspired the one where Tiana works, and the princess-to-be travels on the St. Charles line of the street car every day to get there.

The iconic 1951 classic film A Streetcar Named Desire was written, filmed and set.
