SHREVEPORT, La. -It was a mission to feed mind, body and soul Sunday in Shreveport, Louisiana. Stoner Hill Baptist Church partnered with the Kings of the South Motorcycle Club and Ameritas Health Caritas to serve the public.
The church served up the good word, the motorcycle club offered a free pre-Thanksgiving meal to the community and Ameritas offered free health screenings and health information. "Our main goal is to be able to reach the youth, other organizations and to be able to make great things happen throughout the community," said club president Gary Watson. Watson said Sunday's event was also a way to give thanks for safe passage as the group travels across the nation.
