LEOMINSTER – Gove Farm is brimming with all kinds of fresh produce including a bumper crop of juicy peaches, which are back for the first time since the summer of 2022. Two unusually low-temp cold snaps during the 2022-23 winter season wreaked havoc on peach trees, wiping out entire crops across the state and in other parts of the country that would have sprung up last summer. Also currently being picked at Gove Farm are zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, lettuce, kale, yellow and green beans, several varieties of tomatoes, and much more.

Beautiful colorful cut flowers are also up for grabs along with herbs such as basil and parsley. In addition, corn is now available there but in order to get your hands on that prize you have to get to the 930 Mechanic St. farm stand early as they often sell out — or visit another area farm such as Harper’s in Lancaster and Dick’s Market Gardens or Lanni Orchards in Lunenburg, who all have corn and other farm fresh goodness for grabs.
