Liverpool Pride sees fabulous outfits aplenty as more than 20,000 flock through city centre in one of the largest Pride events in Europe By Freya Barnes Published: 14:09 EDT, 27 July 2024 | Updated: 14:22 EDT, 27 July 2024 e-mail View comments Fabulous outfits are aplenty at Liverpool Pride today as more than 20,000 people flock through the city centre in one of the biggest Pride events in Europe. The parade kicked off at 10.30 this morning outside St George's Hall, with attendees dancing through the streets to the Pride Quarter for the main celebration and finishing on the waterfront.

Events taking place throughout the day included March with Pride organised by the LCR Pride Foundation and performances from the likes of the Cheeky Girls, Eurovision winner Katrina, Kelly Llorenna and local artists. Local venues have extended their closing times to accommodate for the event and allow the Pride-goers to carry on partying into the night. Pictures from the event show people adorned in glitter, rainbow Pride flags, extravagant makeup and eye-catching - often sequined - outfits, carrying picket signs.
