Drivers have been told to take alternative routes around a closure on the A48 after a crash in the Forest of Dean. Police have shut the road in Lydney following a serious crash at around 6am today (Thursday, January 23). The road is closed between the Station Road/Harbour Road roundabout and Naas Lane.
Gloucestershire Police said: "The A48 is closed in Lydney, Forest of Dean due to a serious collision which happened at around 6am today. "Closures are in place between the roundabout at the Station Road/Harbour Road junction and Naas Lane. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
