Lily Allen has called out animal rights organisation PETA after receiving death threats over her reasons to give up her puppy, Mary. The Fear hitmaker, 39, hosted a brand new episode of her podcast titled Miss Me?, which she hosts with Miquita Oliver , last week when she confessed she'd once given her dog away after the four-legged companion had eaten her passport. Numerous listeners were quick to call her out, while animal welfare organisation PETA took drastic action by sending her a mechanical toy dog with a note reading: "It really is the only animal you should bring into your home.

" In her letter to Lily, PETA's Vice President Elisa Allen added: "While you could get new passports and rebook your flights, Mary [the dog] may spend many months in the shelter waiting for a new family – if she’s lucky enough to find one at all." Elisa Allen then added: "They should never be treated as accessories to be discarded when they become inconvenient." The group also issued Lily with a brutal message on X, otherwise known as Twitter .

"YOU laughed when speaking about abandoning Mary and ruined this poor dog’s life. She thought she had a loving forever home before you tossed her out, calling her 'that f******* dog' who 'ruined my life.' Shame on you.

You don’t deserve even the toy dog we sent you", they wrote. Comments aimed at Lily have recently taken a hostile turn as she's received death threats over her reasons for returning her dog Mary to "the home." Enraged by PETA's act.
