The Dyson is one of the most popular vacuums on the market - and for good reason. It's an extremely powerful and effective piece of kit, revolutionising the cordless vacuum industry. However, nothing is perfect, with some Dyson owners noticing a flaw in their high-spec appliances.

It means that there's a chance they can become less effective over time, or even end up breaking down altogether. If you find yourself in this situation, fear not, for one woman has shared a viral hack that brought her Dyson vacuum back to life. It's left social media users blown away, with some dubbing the nifty hack as a "lifesaver.

Kait thought her appliance was broken after it stopped sucking and made a weird pulsing sound. As well as that, it was switching on an off randomly, making her think it was time to say goodbye to her beloved Dyson. However, before throwing it away, she managed to revive her vacuum with a simple trick.

She said on Instagram : "If your vacuum sounds like this...

the solution might be as simple as cleaning the filter." It turns out, many people don't realise that dirt can block the vacuums filter, reducing performance. Dyson users are advised to wash the filter at least once a month to help maintain the suction power, according to Tyla.

Kait added: "The story of how I fixed my beloved vacuum simply by cleaning it. Just because I know how to clean something, does not mean I am disciplined enough to do it regularly (clearly).” The viral video shows Kait cleaning the filte.
