The new season aired on 29 July at 18:30 on Mzansi Wethu. Seasoned actor Slindile Nodangala has parted ways with Sibongile & The Dlaminis. Nodangala played Deliwe Mbambo on Season 1 of the Mzansi Wethu series.

With the story evolving and new characters joining the cast, Deliwe's journey has come to an end. Shirley Adonisi, MultiChoice director of local entertainment channels, said the actor outdid herself on the show. "Slindile's portrayal of Deliwe was both captivating and divisive, making her a standout character.

Her talent has shone brightly on this show and others across Mzansi." Adonisi added: "Despite her departure, there's plenty to look forward to in the new season, including new secrets, Sibongile's next chapter, and the future of Vuma's love life without Deliwe." Quite a few actors have been leaving shows.

Veteran actor Vusi Kunene is rejoining the cast of SABC1's Generations: The Legacy to reprise his role as Jack Mabaso after exiting e.tv's House of Zwide. "Vusi Kunene is one [of] the truly great actors! He will continue to heighten the standard of entertainment television in South Africa and beyond, reminding us of the iconic status of Generations," executive producer Mfundi Vundla said.
