Tappita – In an effort to boost healthcare delivery in Nimba County and beyond, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has donated huge medical supplies including essential drugs and equipment to the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital in Tapita. The monetary value attached to the medical supplies is placed at two hundred thousand US Dollars ($200,000US).

Among the items donated by MSF are: a plasma separator, tube centrifuge, tube hemolyzer, densitometer, densimat autoclave, microscope, scale manual counter, refrigerator storage boxes, surgical gowns, glove box and essential & non-essential drugs. The donation comes as a significant boost to the Hospital in its quest to dispense the quality of health services to citizens of Nimba and the country as a whole. This timely intervention is yet another achievement by the hospital under the leadership of Dr.

Victor Kaizer, Chief Executive Officer, who has brought changes to the facility since his appointment by President Boakai. Since his takeover, Dr. Kaizer has introduced Quarterly supply improvement, Electricity supply consistency, Resuscitation of the oxygen plant, Resuscitation of the CT Scan and Expansion of the hospital Nursing Staff amongst several others.
