Gandhi’s love Rakesh Kumar should be commended for the beautiful piece titled “Gandhi’s love” (FT 24/09). I could not stop reading and sharing the positive vibes that arose out of her story as her message, “Be positive in life, have faith, and believe in what you want to achieve,” was timely. As a social worker, at the age of 74, Ms Gandhi is an inspiration to those involved in social and charity work.

After reading her story, I discovered that hard work, perseverance and the love for humanity have been the pillars for her success. The inspiration to help the poor and needy was firmly pillared on her faith, cultural beliefs both spiritual and deep belief in religion, and a sense of collectiveness towards assisting those in the community who need help.Although age is catching up with Ms Gandhi, she hopes to do more for the poor as she believes she has more in the tank.

This is positivity at its ever best! I acknowledge Ms Gandhi for her loving and caring attitude and her selfless love towards the poor and needy.
