The pay issue they got wrong, but then showed tremendous integrity by righting the ship. It is very similar to John Horgan, when he was premier, cancelling plans to build a new Royal B.C.

Museum building. Let’s allow politicians to get things wrong, but acknowledge it and change course when required. That’s rare in politics these days.

” Perhaps I am missing something here, but I have always thought that anyone could run for council and no particular skill set is required. Yvonne Andre Campbell River Victoria council makes the mature decision I’m pleased to see Victoria city council give sober second thought to the pay raise and listen to the public. They did the right thing on this issue, and deserve credit for doing so.

There is no doubt the role of councillor has become far more challen.
