A travel expert has given a glimpse of a little piece of paradise after staying in an Airbnb with one of the most incredible city views Europe has to offer. Aimee Bell, who travels the world and showcases her adventures to her 75,000 TikTok followers, recently visited Matera in the southeast of Italy. Founded by the Romans in 251BC, Matera was declared a European Capital of Culture in 2019.
Posting a video from the coffee table on her balcony, Aimee (@aimeebelll) penned: "Just checked into my Airbnb and realised I have private views over the oldest city in Italy." The short clip sees Aimee pan her camera around the neighbourhood below, revealing stunning ancient architecture against a golden sunrise backdrop. "The Airbnb is called Little House of Matilde in Matera!" Aimee added.
"One of my most asked about Airbnb stays ever." In response to a question from an excited fan, Aimee continued her appraisal: "We parked outside of the Sassi area where this Airbnb is! There’s some free parking. Lugging your suitcase over the cobbled stones is an experience.
