Lauryn Hill and The Fugees have apparently on their upcoming US 'Miseducation Anniversary Tour' gigs. The scheduled dates vanished from Live Nation and Ticketmaster, leaving fans to circulate emails they received about refund procedures from Ticketmaster. These emails stated: "Unfortunately, the Event Organiser has had to cancel your event.
" Yet, the 'Ready Or Not' chart-toppers haven't provided an explanation for the abrupt cancellation. The tour was set to kick off this Friday in Tampa, Florida, and wrap up on September 21. There's also a European and UK leg planned, starting in Manchester on October 12 and ending in Amsterdam on October 22, but it's unclear if these shows will proceed.
Last year, Hill, aged 49, postponed most of her tour dates due to "serious vocal strain". In addition to performing hits from her iconic 1998 solo record, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, she was expected to reunite with Fugees members Wyclef Jean, 54, and Pras Michel, 51, to perform tracks from their 1996 album The Score. Hill had been managing her performances with prescribed medication for her voice, which she noted is "detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time.
" Consequently, Hill had to take a break to allow her voice to properly recover. The singer took to Instagram to share her thoughts: "I'd like to start this off by saying how much I've enjoyed being on the road, and how much I appreciate all of the fans who have come out to celebrate this incredi.
