DBD, like any live-service game, has had to endure its fair share of bugs. However, things have taken a turn for the worse following Behaviour Interactive’s latest update, as players have begun discovering a few issues—including a game-breaking generator bug. If you haven’t encountered it yet, this latest problem occurs whenever survivors pop a gen.

Instead of immediately reducing the gen count, it stays the same; the count only changes after another generator gets fixed. If you’re a survivor main, you can probably see how much of an issue this is in the heat of a chase. But it also presents a massive problem to killers since the gen count essentially indicates how much time they have left before survivors start opening the exit gates.

Say, if it turns from three to zero in a flash, it would likely lead to a lot of confusion and even cost some killers an entire match. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what’s begun happening in some games, according to a few Reddit posts. Following Behaviour Interactive’s in mid-July, player complaints have appeared in droves.
