Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputies have captured the last outstanding escapee from a jailbreak earlier this year. Jamarcus Cyprian, 20, who had been on the run since mid-May, was located at a residence in the Hammond area Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office reported. The agency plans to hold a news conference this afternoon “to lay out details about the arrest and some associated investigations,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Cyprian escaped Tangipahoa Parish Jail over Memorial Day weekend with three other inmates, who have all previously been taken back into custody. TPSO reported at the time that two inmates escaped that Saturday night after breaking through a corroded piece of chain-link fence, crawling under a gap in a wall, before climbing over fences lined with razor wire. Cyprian and another inmate escaped that Sunday using the same route.
