A global IT meltdown has hit this morning (July 19), causing chaos across various sectors airports , railways, the London Stock Exchange, media outlets, and even Heathrow Airport are in disarray. Would-be flyers have reported being loaded off planes at Heathrow Airport this morning. There are also major queues building up at Stansted and Gatwick as passengers are set to jet away but are confronted with long waits.

Heathrow's official statement reads: “Microsoft is currently experiencing a global outage which is impacting select systems at Heathrow. “Flights are operational and we are implementing contingency plans to minimise any impact on journeys.
